A Great Day

Yesterday was a GREAT day - our 2 year anniversary!!

It started out with the blessing of morning sickness. Incase you did not know yet we are pregnant!

Then, while in the shower, my sweet husband said "would you like some cinnamon rolls?"  To which I replied "sure!"  It's our most favorite at home breakfast.  It might actually be my all time favorite breakfast.  I grew up eating Pillsbury cinn rolls with my parents on the weekends.  So not only tasty, but good childhood memories too!

Then at 8:08 we rushed out the door to the doctor for our 12 week appointment...listening for the heartbeat.  It was amazing and very relieving at the same time!  Sweet baby...we can't wait to welcome you at Thanksgiving!  Stay healthy in there!  My wonderful husband took a short video of the event on his iphone and now I can watch it over and over.  Thanks hunny for being so thoughtful in capturing the moment!

Next we came home and promptly emailed several friends to share the good news!  Grateful for all the loving and supportive friends we have.  Next, we were out the door to start a registry.  That's right...I know it's way early, but it was a fun way to celebrate the morning events.  We only put 2 items on it which was funny to the helpful gal at the service desk. There is so much stuff to pick from.  I will definitely be soliciting the help of my mommy friends to find the best items.

Then off to the mall for lunch and a movie.  One of the best things about being off on a Monday...hardly anyone at the mall or movie theater.  It was really great not having to battle the hurds of people that flock to Northpark Mall on the weekends.  Dave ate salad and I ate pizza (very typical for him to be more healthy than me).  Next up, Eddie Bauer to get Dave some shirts for work, then Paciugo for a pre-movie treat...Dave at chocolate, I ate wedding cake (also very typical). However, I will add that over the last 12 weeks I have lost my sweet tooth!  I know...those beloved cake and ice cream treats have not sounded the best. But yesterday was such a good day, I thought I could not pass up celebrating with both, thus the wedding cake flavored ice cream. Also very fitting for an anniversary treat.

Iron Man was the movie...not too bad.  Definitely too loud in the theater, but the movie was ok.  Then we came home, let the pup out...gave her dinner and then we were off to have another favorite meal...Houston's!  Ribs for me, steak for Dave (again, fairly typical).  It was delicious!  We love that place - also great memories for me with my family growing up in H-Town.  And now with my husband!

It was a wonderful day!  One of my most favorite things about being married is just hanging out.  I am a quality time person and spending the entire day together celebrating each other and our marriage hit the spot.  No fancy vacations needed, just a sweet day being with my best friend!  I love you hunny!
